Feliks Harutyunyan was born in 1996 in Yerevan into a family of musicians and started to play violin at the age of 5. Already at 14, he was a member of “Sharakan” Sacred Music Ensemble.

Feliks studied in Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan with prof. Alexander Kosemyan and in 2017 completed the bachelor’s degree with honors. In 2019 Feliks completed the bachelor’s degree with honors and in 2021 the master’s degree with honors at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (class of prof. Dominika Falger).

With the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia

Feliks is a scholarship holder of the Académie musicale de Villecroze, Geneva International String Academy and Garth Newel Emerging Artist Fellowship Program. He received masterclasses from Mihaela Martin, Mieczysław Szlezer, Michael Barenboim, Renaud Capuçon, Oleg Kaskiv, Tedi Papavrami, Sergey Ostrovsky, Takashi Shimizu, from the members of Wiener Philharmoniker, as well as from Jascha Heifetz’s collaborative pianist Ayke Agus. 

In 2018 Feliks made his debut with Armenian National Chamber Orchestra, performing Mozart’s A-major Violin Concerto. In 2020 he collaborated with Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with Andrei Gridchuk. In 2021 Feliks performed Bartók’s 2nd Violin Concerto with the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

Since 2022 Feliks is a member of 1st violins group in the Vienna Volksoper Orchestra.
